Shara Magomedov has one of the biggest superstars on the planet on his side for his UFC return this Saturday.
The rising middleweight contender met with Cristiano Ronaldo, ex-Real Madrid star and current AlNassr FC player, ahead of his co-main event clash with Michael Page at UFC Fight Night 250 (ESPN+), which takes place at ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
It was a special moment for Magomedov as he used to look up to Ronaldo when he was younger, but what made the experience was Ronaldo’s support.
“I met the entire team, and I also met Cristiano Ronaldo, and we talked for about a half hour,” Magomedov said at Wednesday’s UFC Fight Night 250 media day. “He knows a lot about the UFC, and I can tell he’s very well versed in the sport. He said he’s going to be coming to the fight and rooting for me. He said I have a lot of potential in the sport and that I’m eventually going to be champion.”

Magomedov (15-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) is undefeated in his UFC career and will be taking on easily the biggest name of his career – Page (22-3 MMA, 1-1 UFC), a former Bellator title challenger. MVP is moving up a weight class for this striking clash as he usually fights in the welterweight division.
Page is coming off a close decision loss to Ian Machado Garry in June, while Magomedov defeated Armen Petrosyan in October with a wild spinning-back-fist KO.
