ONE Championship cancels Bangkok card after massive Myanmar earthquake

(This story was updated to correct in inaccuracy.)

Friday’s ONE Championship Fight Night event in Thailand has been canceled, the promotion announced.

ONE Friday Fights 102 was set to take place in Bangkok at Lumpinee Stadium. But a massive 7.7 magnitude earthquake hit Myanmar late Thursday, and the effects have been widespread already – including in Bangkok, more than 600 miles away.

Broadcast reports already have shown extensive damage throughout the areas, and there have been deaths reported in Bangkok due to a building a collapse. A 6.4 magnitude aftershock hit the area in the hours following the initial 7.7 quake.

In addition, though no official announcement has been made, the April 4 ONE event in Bangkok also is in question.
